"My partner, Eitan , sleeps peacefully in this painting with a red background. By this stage, I had already come to terms with my sexuality. I was very excited during the beginning of our relationship and even today I am excited. This painting depicts the deep love I felt for him at that moment. His tranquil pose expresses no tension and represents complete self-acceptance. The red background dominates the painting and symbolizes life, passion and dominance. I observed this man as a sexual object and felt completely comfortable with both his and my own sexuality."
